excerpts from a japanese friend's blog...

I heard that news in overseas has greatly exaggerated about earthquake in Japan. Radioactive contamination, physical distribution, energy source....., actually they are not false story but not serious. The coastal area of Iwate,Miyagi,and Fukushima is devastating, but inland area is quite calm.


Do you think that we are in gloom ? NO, NO, NO! Of course someone is pessimistic, but people going out this weekend seemed to be as usual.
I was glad to see this scene !!

korean cooking lesson...making cucumber kimchee (oi sobaggi)

soak cucumber in salted water

make the stuffing...spring onions, radish, ginger, salt, sugar and garlic

add korean chilli pepper

mix

stuff the slit cucumbers

i am a big fan of korean food
it's not as popular as japanese
but becoming visible in london

i've had one korean cooking lesson so far
and another this week

this is
mung-bean pancakes (chijimi)
sweet potato noodles stir-fry (chap-chae)
radish kimchee

the face you can see is prince philip..the queen's face is covered!!!
